Why Choose Engineered Timber Flooring?
-
Due to the layered construction of the engineered core, your less likely to experience movement, warping or gapping between boards.
-
Reducing the amount of solid hardwood used per board, gives a wider board cover while preserving earths' resources.
-
Installation and site finishing can be done quicker than solid flooring because the boards are engineered and machined before it comes to site.
-
Under a tight timeframe? Your colour and finish selection is applied to your flooring offsite in a factory before it arrives to your project. Now you only need to allow time for installation.
-
With climate change increasing globally, the engineered backing gives a higher resistance to moisture and climate changes, preventing swelling, shrinking, cupping or gapping compared to solid flooring.
-
Suitable to be laid with underfloor heating or cooling systems due to the engineered ply layer.
-
Choosing engineered flooring does not limit your flooring options. Engineered timber flooring features a real hardwood wear layer over an engineered core, with wear layers available from 2mm to 6mm. Our standard flooring is supplied with a 4mm wear layer, providing the appearance and feel of solid timber while allowing the floor to be sanded and recoated over its lifetime, depending on the wear layer thickness.
-
Timber flooring can be re-sanded to refresh its appearance and extend its lifespan. Engineered timber flooring is available with wear layers from 2–6mm, depending on the product. Our standard engineered flooring features a 4mm hardwood wear layer, allowing the floor to be sanded and recoated multiple times over its lifetime when carried out by a professional.
-
Most engineered timber flooring is backed by a manufacturer's product warranty of between 10–25 years, depending on the selected product. As solid timber is a natural product, warranty coverage varies by manufacturer and does not cover the natural characteristics and movement of timber.
